On Thursday, 28 August, HVR welcomed a delegation from WaterAid Bangladesh for a productive meeting focused on advancing safe drinking water solutions for coastal communities in Bangladesh.
During the discussions, we explored the urgent challenges these regions face due to salinity intrusion and Arsenic contamination of groundwater sources. The dialogue centered around how HVR’s innovative purification technology could provide a sustainable and cost-effective solution for ensuring access to clean, safe drinking water.
As a next step, a field visit by WaterAid colleagues in India is planned to take place shortly at our installation in Odisha. This visit will give the team firsthand insight into how our system operates in real-world conditions, purifying well water affected by high fluoride levels to deliver safe drinking water for children and local communities.
We see strong potential for collaboration with WaterAid in Bangladesh, where our experience in Odisha can serve as a model for addressing water quality challenges in similar environments.
We look forward to continuing this dialogue and exploring pilot opportunities that could pave the way for a scalable solution to the drinking water crisis in Bangladesh’s coastal regions.
