Water Purification System in Odisha Upgraded, Now Fully Electric

We are pleased to announce that our water purification unit in Odisha has now been successfully upgraded to a fully electric system. The previous solar-powered setup, which faced limitations due to weather conditions and insufficient sunlight, has been replaced with a stable three-phase electricity connection.

To achieve this, new electric poles and power lines were installed over several hundred meters from the nearest distribution point to the school. Electric immersion heaters, along with custom-designed automation and control units, have been installed and are now fully operational.

Thanks to this upgrade, the system can now produce 10–15 liters of clean water per hour, providing a reliable supply of safe drinking water to the school children. Many of these children have previously been exposed to high levels of fluoride in the groundwater, which poses serious health risks. This upgraded solution offers a sustainable and life-saving alternative.

This milestone was made possible through close collaboration between our technical teams, local electricity authorities, and our partner, Shakuntala Hospital. In the coming months, medical staff from the hospital will be conducting follow-up health checks on the children.

We extend our sincere thanks to everyone involved and look forward to expanding access to clean water to more schools and communities in need.
